Obtained from the honeycomb wax of bees, either Apis mellifera L., or other bee species.

After the adoption of honey from the hive, the cells are quickly washed with water, then melted with hot water or steam, filtered, and passed through the molds, until the product is cooled and solidified.

There are three main products derived from beeswax: yellow, white beeswax and absolute beeswax. The yellow wax corresponds to the first product obtained from the honeycomb, while the white and absolute waxes are obtained from the yellow one; the first by bleaching through the combined action of sunlight, air, and humidification, the second by extraction with alcohol.
