Mugo pine

Scientific name: Pinus mugo 

Common name: mountain pine

Parts used: needle-like leaves. 

Belonging to the Pinaceae family, it is an evergreen needle-like bush.

Properties: toning, antiseptic, balsamic. 

Curiosity: a mountain pine forest is called mugheto. In the Dolomite areas it is used for the preparation of grappa, candies, honey and jams.
